1. You cannot do anything worthwhile in this game without several weeks or even months training. - true, but then again it depends on your definition of worthwhile.
2. A character with high SP will always beat a character with low SP - not always, but true more often then not.
3. You need a lot of ISK to even get started - not really, throwaway t1 ships can be had for under 1 mil isk.
4. PVP is hard to get into and extremely expensive. You can't PVP in a cheap ship. - not really true.
5. Low and nul sec is boring and pointless (I say that myself sometimes, I must stop doing that) - all of eve is sort of boring, until you get into the interaction with other players.
6. You spend all your time travelling between systems and nothing else - or spinning in station, or sitting at gate.
7. Mining is the only way to earn ISK for noobs (some EVE reviews say this but they are several years out of date) - *shrug*
8. The game is taken over by Griefers - no more asshattery then I've seen elsewhere.
9 The game is taken over by Carebears - no more then I've seen elsewhere.
10 You need a maths degree to do anything like research, trading or manufacturing. - no, all you need is spreadsheet software.
11. You cannot enjoy the game playing solo. - EvE is THE definition boredom sans other people.
12. You cannot have fun in PVP in a cheap Frigate - you can .. but not alone.
13. The game has a very steep learning curve which is a major barrier to even starting - it's not steep, it's just not intuitive like other games, and requires a lot of reading upfront instead of playing. Other games offer intuitive basic mechanics, and reading about advanced mechanics if you're so inclined.
14. PVP and PVE takes no skill, it's just point and click. - true. Eve takes 0 skill compared to many other MMO. All it takes is planning your skill tree and fitting your ship correctly. In other games, just planning out your skill tree and showing up in the right gear set does not impact the probability of success quite as much.
15. You must train your learning skills as soon as possible. - it helps, but it's BORING.
